It also aims to heal the root causes of an illness -- not just stop the symptoms.
A naturopathic doctor may spend 1 to 2 hours examining you. They’ll ask questions about your health history, stress levels, and lifestyle habits. They may order lab tests. Afterwards, they will typically discuss your personal health plan. Naturopathic medicine focuses on education and prevention, so your doctor may give you diet, exercise, or stress management tips. They might use complementary medicine -- like homeopathy, herbal medicine, and acupuncture -- in addition to naturopathic treatments.

The injection creates a mild inflammatory response, which is thought to trigger the body's natural healing processes, including growth factor production and collagen deposition. Prolotherapy aims to strengthen ligaments and tendons by stimulating the body to repair and rebuild the damaged tissues.

With a strong belief in the body’s natural ability to heal, my osteopathic practice focuses on restoring balance, improving mobility, and supporting the interconnected relationship between structure and function. Through manual osteopathic treatment, I aim to relieve tension, reduce restrictions, and create the optimal conditions for the body to heal itself.

After completing my Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at the University of Victoria, I returned home to Brookswood and spent two decades balancing early mornings teaching group fitness with full-time work in my family’s business—all while raising my two wonderful children. That journey, full of twists and experiences, ultimately led me back to my true calling in health and wellness.

I am passionate about building community and helping people. Nothing inspires me more than watching individuals try something new, overcome challenges, and grow stronger—physically, mentally, and emotionally.

When I’m not providing manual osteopathic treatments or studying, you can find me teaching yoga and fitness in the community or cheering for my kids at the lacrosse field.

Tyla graduated from massage therapy school in 2010 and was registered the same year as a Registered Massage Therapist. She had the opportunity to attend both massage therapy schools in the lower mainland and graduated from Vancouver College of Massage Therapy, formally known as Utopia Academy.

Tyla started her career working in a chiropractic office in Surrey then moved onto a multidisciplinary clinic located in New Westminster. From there Tyla worked at Langley Sport Medicine Clinic in the Langley events centre and then Performance Integrated Health in South Surrey. Currently she is now working from home in South Surrey.

Tyla enjoys working with sport athletes of different talents. She has been an athlete herself competing in various horse related competitions including 3-day eventing, hunter jumpers, dressage, grand entry team and barrel racing. Tyla volunteered for a number of years at Cloverdale Rodeo in the sport medicine trailer. Tyla’s main focus of modalities includes using deep tissue and trigger point techniques. She also often uses tape products to help with particular injuries. Athletic taping can be very helpful when trying to get athletes back into the game faster. These products have been found beneficial to help aid other conditions including headaches, muscle tension, stubborn trigger points and to help reduce swelling.

Another passion of Tyla’s is to work with pre and post natal patients. Being a mother herself she finds she is able to relate well with other women and help focus treatments on individual needs. We do offer comfortable pregnancy pillows which allow pregnant patients to lay comfortably on their abdomen to receive treatment. Tyla has taken extended training in pre and post natal care, including c-section delivery and wound healing.

My journey into massage therapy started with my own experience during pregnancy. I was amazed by how much massage helped me both physically and mentally, and that’s what inspired me to pursue this career. After graduating from Vancouver College of Massage Therapy, I became part of the Bishop team, and I feel incredibly fortunate to be doing what I love every day.

Every person who walks through our doors comes in with unique needs, whether they’re looking for pain relief, stress reduction, or simply time to reset. My approach is all about creating a personalized treatment plan that helps each client reach their wellness goals.

I use a combination of techniques, including Swedish massage, myofascial release, and trigger point therapy, to help improve movement, reduce tension, and restore balance in the body. My goal is always to listen—to the client and to the body—so that I can provide the most effective treatment.

I have a special interest in pre- and post-natal massage because I know firsthand how much it can support both physical and emotional well-being. Pregnancy brings so many changes, and massage can be such a powerful tool in easing discomfort and helping the body adjust. But no matter what stage of life my clients are in, I want them to feel safe, comfortable, and truly supported during their treatments.

Outside of work, I love staying active—yoga, fitness, and of course, spending time with my two kids. I truly believe in maintaining balance in my own life, and that’s something I bring into my practice as well. I want my clients to leave here not just feeling better in the moment, but with a plan to support their long-term wellness.

If you’re looking for a treatment that’s tailored to your needs, I’d love to be part of your wellness journey. Whether it’s for relaxation, recovery, or mobility, I’m here to help you feel your best.

As an active person and athlete, I know how important it is to keep your body in top shape so you can continue to push yourself each and every day. Although pushing yourself is the fun part, one of the most important parts in any physical activity or sport is recovery. Massage therapy can provide great benefits in how the body feels and performs, which is why I love what I do because I get to help people feel their best both mentally and physically.

When it comes to treatment, my approach is to work with each patient and their individual needs in order to develop short-term and long-term goals tailored to them. I like to think of every treatment as a team effort to ensure you leave feeling better than you did when you walked in, and with that team mentality it does require effort from both sides- help me, help you. Whenever possible, I also like to provide exercises or activities you can do outside of the treatment room to keep you feeling your best and help you maintain your body’s progress between sessions.

A little bit about me: I graduated from the RMT program at CDI College in April 2022. I have a passion for fitness and have my certification in Fitness Theory and completed the courses towards personal training. I have been an avid gym goer for the past 5 years, competed in a bodybuilding competition and have plans to compete more in the future. My background in fitness is the main reason why I believe recovery and improving mobility are extremely key in being the best athlete you can be and one of the reasons I chose to pursue being an RMT in the first place.

Outside of work, it’s all about the adventure. If I’m not in the gym, I am outdoors or spending time with my friends and family. I am a huge fan of puzzles, tv shows, movies and of course, snacks. I am always doing something fun with my spare time and I love this life I’m living.

I am always excited to work with new patients and if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask!

Hi my name is Megan and I am a recent graduate of West Coast College of Massage Therapy. Through the program I was able to treat individuals from all walks of life from athletes, pregnant women, long term care, and those in acute rehab. All these experiences in turn gave valuable insight to cater to each individual based off of their specific needs and current state of living.

Before pursuing a career in massage therapy I gained my Bachelors in Kinesiology with a minor in Psychology at UFV in 2021. Together, my education helped me see the importance of the relationship between the mind and body and how encompassing a holistic approach to life starts with prioritizing self care.

Working in the healthcare field has always been an aspiring passion of mine, finding fulfillment in helping heal others and having a keen interest in anatomy and therapeutic modalities. During the program, I have been taught to perform myofascial release, deep tissue, petrissage, gentle joint mobilization, and PNF techniques.

Little facts about me: In my spare time, I enjoy walking on scenic trails, learning new recipes (usually baking but trying to learn how to cook more meals!), trying out new crafts or hobbies, and getting cozy with a good book!

I have always had an interest in the human body and wanted a job that involved working in the medical field, and massage therapy was the perfect fit. My favorite part of being an RMT is assisting my patients to feel their best and to help decrease their stress!

I would say my treatment style is, but not limited to: deep tissue, Swedish, PNF and trigger point release and joint mobilization. I would work with you to decide what techniques and approach is best for your comfort and goals.

In my spare time I love to cuddle up with my cat with a cup of tea and watch scary movies.
